I believe coaches need a minimum of 3 streams of income to create a successful coaching business that avoids the all too common feast or famine rollercoaster that all too often goes hand in hand with coaching based businesses.
I believe one of those income streams should be a HIGH-TICKET GROUP COACHING PROGRAM. Why?
There are many reasons I’m a huge fan of high-ticket group coaching but the main ones are the results you can achieve for your clients. When you’re being paid well by a small group of clients you have the time to dedicate to their success so the results are better. You generate big recurring revenue for the foreseeable future, for example, a 6-month group coaching program with 10 participants means steady, consistent income from 10 clients for a full 6 months. Again, when you’re being paid well by a few you have the time freedom to serve your clients well.
Having a high-ticket program is one thing but something I notice when I start working with a new coach is the number of sales they let slip through their fingers every month simply because they lack basic selling skills.
It makes sense though really because while coaches invest in things like coaching, help with their social media strategy, marketing, copywriting, and tech support (websites/sales pages/funnels etc) they rarely, if EVER, invest in sales training when usually this is the VERYskill they need to be investing in. Without sales skills your high-ticket coaching program will never get off the ground.
Learning how to sell your program the skill that produces the greatest return on investment….FAST.
You can be the best coach in the world but unless you have the skill of being able to confidently sign clients into your programs your skills as a coach will go to waste.

Often a coach won’t even KNOW that their sales skills are letting them down because they’re too busy beating themselves up about not being good enough and they think the lack of conversions is because they aren’t good enough as a coach.
Sometimes you simply don’t know what you don’t know. It’s common for coaches to overlook the need to develop their sales skills but long story short, if you’re a coach who’s struggling to make sales you NEED sales training. ASAP!
Before I go on I need to let you know that I LOATHED the word sales and anything to do with selling for a very long time and I constantly told myself I hated sales, I suck at sales…I even told myself I didn’t want to BE good at sales because that would then say something about me I didn’t like, I mean who wants to be seen to be a great salesperson in the coaching world? Not me, that’s for sure.
When I did become good at signing clients I told myself I did it without selling but that was a lie, it’s just that I didn’t call what I was doing sales.
But it was indeed selling and it dawned on me that I was actually VERY good at selling people into my programs or anything else I wanted, things like selling myself as a speaker for events, selling myself as a great interview for a podcast etc
When I reframed things and understood that what I was doing WAS was, in fact, selling but in a completely different way to what I had been taught there was no stopping me because knowing I WAS good at sales, in fact VERY GOOD (particularly at high-ticket sales) meant I felt empowered and couldn’t WAIT to get on sales calls with potential clients because IT DIDN’T FEEL LIKE SALES and I knew I was going to be welcoming in a new client 9 times out of 10.
The way to make selling easy is to KNOW with 100% conviction that your program is valuable to your client and that you WILL get results for your clients if they do the work and follow the program.
